The doctors at the medical examination center will conduct two major types of checks or examinations.
The first medical examination that they will conduct is the physical examination in the physical check they will examine your eyes, ears, your nose, your throat, your extremities, your heart, your lungs, your abdomen, lymph nodes, skin, and external genitalia. They will also conduct a chest x-ray and they will do a blood test to check for syphilis. However, children below 15 years of age will not be exposed to x-ray checkups. If you are pregnant you need to communicate with the medical center earlier enough so that they can organize how you can be examined.
The second type of examination that they will conduct is the mental examination. This is to prove that you don’t have an existing mental problem or disorder that can cause public harm to the hosting country.
What are the costs of medical examinations?
Medical examination fee varies from country to country. They are not stated by the united states government. It may range from $100 up to $400 per head depending on the country.
What happens after the medical examination?
Depending on the embassy from various countries, the doctors might give you a sealed envelope to present during the interview while in some other embassies they send their results directly to the embassy.
