Initially, the next procedure after filling and submitting your DS-260 form was to wait for the email from the KCC requesting you to submit your supporting documents to KCC for processing. This was so until the 9th of December 2021. In an attempt to curb slow processing issue that was facing the DV2022 processing, KCC in a statement scrapped this document submission procedure. It was a pilot program for the DV2022 cases to try and hasten the processing since it was already derailed and moving slowly at the time.
This pilot program enabled KCC to deal with the huge backlog of DS-260 forms that needed processing. KCC managed to process as many cases as they could and came close to the targeted number of visas availed for the diversity visa program.
Recently, in a notice posted on the DV website(shown in the photo above), this pilot program extends to the DV2023. As a DV2023 winner, you are not required to submit your supporting documents to KCC for processing. This comes as a huge bonus to the DV2023 winners as it promises faster processing of their cases at KCC. This means that it is most likely that the diversity visa processing will return back to normal.
